I am an artist from Santa Cruz, California. My primary medium is oil paint but I enjoy various other crafts including film photography and fiber art. I like to use my art as a way to connect with nature. The human-made world can be so overwhelming and intangible, and I find that turning my attention to the world outside of ourselves helps to remind me that we are physical beings attached to the land we live on. I use my art practice as an act of discovery. Creating slows me down and makes me more attuned to the cycles and beautiful intricacies of nature.
