I am an artist from Santa Cruz, California. My primary medium is oil paint, but I enjoy various other crafts, including film photography and fiber art. I like to use my art as a way to connect with nature. The human-made world can feel overwhelming and intangible at times. I find that turning my attention to the world outside of myself helps to remind me that we are physical beings tied to the landscape.

I use my art practice as an act of discovery. It enables me look more closely. I am inspired by patterns in nature, both the repetition in physical forms and cyclical seasonal changes. Creating slows me down and makes me more attuned to these patterns.
